PWRRUN+ The PWRRUN+ cushioning material in the midsole is a mix of TPU and EVA material. The material is both responsive as durable, and therefore very suitable for long-distance running shoes.
The FORMFIT footbed adapts itself to the feet and provides you with optimal comfort. By adapting to the feet it also offers more stability.
The Crystal Rubber material in the outsole is wearproof. This offers extra protection to the feet and makes the shoes very durable.
The Saucony Triumph 17 for men, the predecessor of the ISO 5, are soft and neutral all round running shoes. The Triump 17 is one of Saucony's softest models and offers a lot of cushioning and stability during your runs. New in this version of the shoes is that the upper is made of FORMFIT material and that the sole features 2mm of PWRRUN+ material.
The upper of the Triumph 17 is made with the FORMFIT technology. This technology replaces the ISOFIT technology. This new upper offers a lot more stability and flexibility. It fits snugly around your feet. Over time the shoe will adapt its shape to your feet, which really improves their level of comfort.
The midsole of the Triumph 17 has a PWRRUN+ midsole. This makes the Triumph even softer than its predecessors. With the introduction of PWRRUN+, Saucony knows to improve energy return with 5%. The midsole is clearly softer, but it knows to offer this without betraying its responsiveness. Added to the heel and toes is a rubber plate which provides more traction at landing and take off phase. Thanks to the Crystal Rubberl material and the rubber plates, the Triumph 17 is much more flexible than its predecessor.
Saucony has bid farewell to the ISOFIT upper in their Guide, Triumph and Hurricane models. Therefore the newest version of these running shoes isn't called the Triumph ISO 5, but the Triumph 17.
